As an author, do you have a clear total vision of the book before writing?
As an author, do you discover unexpected gems in the book after you've written?
As an author, with what do you infuse your work? Do you have specific or general hopes for the book before it is written, while writing it, or after it's written?
Are those hopes different for each book? During each phase of the process?
